Loving survivors include two sons, Caleb Thomas of St, Louis, Missouri and Craig (Elizabeth) Thomas of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Cathryn (Kirby) Klaus of Uniontown, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Heather Westbrook, Robert Thomas, Reece (Lauren) Thomas, Maxwell Winchester, Dakota Thomas, Bailey Thomas and Wesley Klaus. Chief Thomas proudly served his country for 26 years in The United States Air Force and then 22 years as the ROTC instructor at Surry Central High School.
